Beckley is a peaceful and quiet village with a fantastic community owned pub called The Abingdon Arms, we recommend their Sunday Roasts or their woodfired pizzas. Arguably the best thing about the pub is the gorgeous views across Otmoor! The Abingdon Arms prides itself on using local beers with many of their brewers using spring water from Oxfordshire – which is something we can get on board with!

You can walk to the pub in just 5 minutes, however it may take you 10 minutes to walk back!

We are fortunate enough to be just around the corner from the Otmoor Nature Reserve where you may see an abundance of incredible difference species of birds (and maybe even the resident otter if you are lucky!). Follow the Otmoor Lane next to the Abingdon Arms Pub and follow to the end of the lane. The visitor trail leads you alongside an expansive floodplain grazing marsh which is home to wading birds and wildfowl year-round.

Rectory Farm is great fun for all ages. You can enjoy a tour around the farm on the tractor, relax in the café or browse all the goodies in the farm shop. One of our favourite things to do at Rectory Farm is fruit and vegetable picking. Throughout the season they grow over thirty different types of delicious fruit, vegetables and flowers, yum!

There is a fantastic park which is only a few minutes’ walk from Oxford Glamping. The park is fully equipped with a tennis court, basketball net, football nets, batting net and a children’s playpark. The perfect place to blow off some steam and work up an appetite!
